This is the MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) code you have set for your CoinList account. Open the MFA app that you configured with CoinList (Ex, Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, Microsoft Authenticator) and you will find a newly generated code.
What if I no longer have access to my MFA device or the backup codes?
If you no longer have access to your MFA device, you may be able to go through our automatic and fast-lane 2FA review process by selecting "Lost your 2FA?" after logging in through a web browser here: https://coinlist.co/login.
If you do not see this, please submit a support ticket for assistance and instructions. You will not be able to access your account until this process is complete.
The first time you log in to the CoinList mobile app, you will be asked to verify your email to approve your device. A code will be sent to your email. This code is different from your MFA code. Ensure you copy the code from the most recent email, and that the correct code is typed in.
If you're still running into issues, please submit a ticket here.
MFA or 2FA is also known as a one-time code on the CoinList mobile app. To use the CoinList mobile app, you must set up 2FA using device Passkey or an authenticator app (eg, Authy, Google Authenticator) through the website. CoinList does not support SMS-based 2FA.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Setting up 2FA on the mobile app requires a device passkey. The mobile app does not support 2FA setup using an authentication app. Passkey is currently only supported on the CoinList iOS app, and with Android support coming soon.
If you prefer using an authenticator app for 2FA or you use an Android device, you can choose to set up 2FA through our website. Once you have successfully enabled 2FA, you can begin using the generated 2FA code on the mobile app. For more information on enabling 2FA using the CoinList website, see here.
