⊏rypto ℱantaᵹia is an online board game for two to four players.
I’ve developed this game with the idea that the new economical mechanisms brought by the blockchain ecosystem (namely DeFi) provide a fresh new and exciting playground, and quite funny as well (think about the DeFi lego).
So, could a ‘mainstream’ game allow others (non-technical people) to discover, explore, understand, and play with these new tools and paradigms, to better assess what’s going on ?
And it became obvious that, while the so famous Monopoly game has learnt all of us about traditional capitalist economics (mortgages, investments, good/bad fortune, wealth management, etc), a similar approach could be used to educate everyone, in a playful way, with this new world of crypto-economics.
Probably the best of all: this game is implementing using smart contracts, meaning that all player actions, like payments, assets ownership management, even chances and community chest cards, are performed through the blockchain itself, leading to an (almost) complete decentralized and trustless application, without the need for a third party (or a banker). () Note: the current version still uses a centralized backend to create the game contracts for the session and to generate random numbers for dices and chance cards.
I’ve seen this game like a laboratory to check if every action in a Monopoly-like game could be decentralized through blockchain. And the answer is: ‘YES’ !!!

Btw, I've finally workaround the gas_exhausted issue that was blocking my game, finding a way to arrange my contracts to limit the gas consumption. Now it's possible to play each player at a turn, found the startups, take the chance, etc. as expected. Please have a (fresh new) look at the demo
