What is Portal?

Portal to Bitcoin is revolutionizing cross-chain Bitcoin trading with a trust-minimized, non-custodial interoperability solution. It enables atomic swaps between native Bitcoin assets (BTC, Ordinals, Runes) and other blockchain networks without requiring bridges or wrapped tokens, ensuring maximum security and efficiency.

Who is eligible?

  1. Participant Eligibility
    • Who Can Participate?
      • Open to global participants, except for those in geofenced regions (OFAC/NNCT countries).
      • Participants must complete KYC upon LiteNode redemption to ensure compliance, reduce bot activity, and exclude individuals flagged under SDN, PEP, BIS, FBI, or Interpol wanted lists.
    • Hardware Requirements:
      • LiteNodes are easy to run on basic laptops or VPS setups, making participation accessible to a wide audience.
  2. Selection Criteria
    • Participants earn LiteNodes by completing quests hosted on BonusBlock, a trusted platform for blockchain competitions.
    • Weekly tasks and leaderboard rankings will determine eligibility for earning LiteNodes, promoting active engagement and competition.
  3. How Participants Will Be Notified
    • Updates, task assignments, and notifications about selection or LiteNode earnings will be provided through the campaign dashboard at nodes.portaltobitcoin.com.

What are the required activities?

Active testnet participants can earn LiteNodes by completing weekly tasks and achieving leaderboard rankings.

What are the rewards?

Up to 21,000 LiteNodes are available, and participants will compete to earn them during the six-week campaign. Each LiteNode grants 9,285 tokens if the node remains active and staked, making participation both valuable and rewarding.

What is the timeline?

The incentivized testnet, Aurelia Testnet, launched on Monday, December 9th, and will run for a total of six weeks, concluding on Sunday, January 19th. This timeframe provides participants with ample opportunity to engage actively and earn LiteNodes. This schedule is subject to change as the testnet progresses at the sole discretion of Portal.
