The Decentralized AI App for Privacy

Program Overview

The Shinkai Protocol invites CoinList community members to participate in its Incentivized Testnet before launching Shinkai on Mainnet. Participants will be able to try beta versions of the software, complete certain tasks, provide valuable feedback, and in return be able to earn a portion of the 24,000,000 KAI tokens (10.0% of the first year’s projected total supply). This campaign aims to improve the app and the reliability of the network over the three phases of the testnet.

The Shinkai Testnet will be split into three phases lasting three weeks each, with a one-week break in between each phase.

Rewards

A total reward pool of up to 24,000,000 KAI tokens, representing 10.0% of the first year’s projected total supply, has been allocated for Shinkai’s Incentivized Testnet participants.

Rewards will be allocated across users, developers, content contributors, and for high quality feedback:

  • Users: 8.5%, 20,400,000 KAI tokens
  • Developers: 0.5%, 1,200,000 KAI tokens
  • Content Contributors: 0.5%, 1,200,000 KAI tokens
  • High Quality Feedback: 0.5%, 1,200,000 KAI tokens

Additional Information:

  • Users: allocated rewards will be based on the completion of quests and position on the leaderboard on the Galxe platform. Users who provide high-quality feedback will be rewarded with extra points that convert to tokens in the same proportion as normal quests.
    • General updates for users will be through Shinkai’s Twitter account, and more detailed updates will be available on Shinkai’s Discord Server. Participants are expected to follow communications for any updates.

  • Developers: allocated rewards will be based on the quality of the implementations and the usefulness of the tools/workflows.
    • Developers will be invited to Discord channels for further communication and support

    • Total allocation: The maximum amount of potential token rewards tokens per developer is 20,000 KAI

  • Content Contributors: allocated rewards will be based on the quality of the content shared, the interest generated by the content, and the number of subscriptions offered. The maximum amount of potential token rewards per content contributor is 20,000 KAI.
  • High Quality Feedback: allocated rewards will be based on the quality of the feedback. For bug reports, a detailed step-by-step guide is required to reproduce the problem. Points will be allocated depending on the severity of the issue and whether it is a new, non-reported issue. Other topics, such as UX improvements and new features, will also be considered and ranked from 0 to 3.

Technical documentation can be found in Shinkai’s official documentation here. Updated documentation and guides will be made available at the start of each phase here. All rewards will be distributed to approved and eligible participants after Shinkai’s mainnet launch (expected in October, 2024) and subject to the same schedule as the phases.

Testnet Phase 1

Start date: June 6, 2024

End date: June 27, 2024

In the first phase of the testnet, Shinkai is focused on users without a limit that will test Shinkai’s Desktop (main App) and Shinkai Visor (companion App for Chrome). User quests will focus on testing the basic functionalities of Shinkai Desktop (managing local AI, managing files, etc.) and basic Shinkai Protocol features like registering an identity by staking. The goal is to get feedback on the flows, improve the UX, and fix potential bugs.

Testnet Phase 2

Start date: July 2, 2024

End date: July 23, 2024

In the second phase of the testnet, Shinkai is focused on users without a limit who will continue to use Shinkai Desktop but will include new features to subscribe to content from nodes in the network.

  • Content contributors can join and share content (subject to Terms & Conditions) that may interest users, e.g., news, crypto whitepapers, general content, etc.
  • Test the network for managing and synchronizing files among nodes.

Testnet Phase 3

Start date: July 30, 2024

End date: August 20, 2024

In the third phase of the testnet, Shinkai is focused on users without a limit to test basic workflow capabilities in Shinkai Desktop.Developers are also welcome to expand the capabilities of Shinkai.

Shinkai Network

Shinkai's token utility is essential for addressing decentralization, data ownership, and AI integration. The token establishes a secure, decentralized network that connects user devices, coordinates AI agents, and manages data efficiently. It solves the problem of creating a trustless identity system and facilitates seamless peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging.

Key use cases include staking tokens to acquire global identities for secure communication and data transactions. These identities, secured on blockchain, enable private interactions between users and AI agents without relying on centralized servers. The tokens also incentivize users to run Shinkai nodes, maintaining the network's decentralized architecture and reliability.

Unique features include an inflationary model similar to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains, which supports ecosystem growth. Users earn rewards through staking and can delegate these rewards to service providers, reducing costs while promoting network services. The token also prevents spam and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks by linking identity registration costs to name length, encouraging meaningful participation, and it is used for governance, allowing holders to influence the network's development.

Furthermore, the Shinkai Network supports the execution of tooling for various tasks and workflows, and can generate proofs to verify the correctness of work executed by external nodes, ensuring reliable operations.
